01 Pudong Intelligent Lighting Association Publishes Industrial Lighting Group Standards
On the morning of August 24, 2021, the first general meeting and the first council of the second Session of Shanghai Pudong Intelligent Lighting Association was held, and the announcement of the group standard of "Power line Carrier Communication (PLC) Industrial Lighting Interconnection Specification" was released at the meeting.
Driven by IoT technology, industrial lighting is evolving from a single lighting function to the integration of control and sensing, and multi-scene and multi-product collaboration. The future trend will be based on networked smart lighting services.
At present, there are 2,800 large-scale lighting enterprises in China. Due to different basic connection modes of products between different manufacturers and independent design of application layer, the interconnection and interoperability of the whole industry is poor, which hinders the healthy development of smart lighting industry, especially the integration and implementation of large smart lighting projects.
The formulation of this specification is based on the PLC-IoT connection technology, standardizing the system architecture, subsystem specifications, and gateway implementation of smart lighting, especially for the application layer interconnection of PLC terminals, and defines a variety of standard equipment models such as scene panel, curtain and lighting drive controller.
In the future, more PLC-IoT evolution solutions involving urban life and production in various industries will grow on this ecological stage. When multiple IoT ecosystems can achieve unified standards, data alleys, and overall intelligence upgrades, the dream of interconnection of all things will naturally come to fruition.
